Yes, this. The depression slows you down. Don't know if persistent depression is dangerous though. Anti-depressants can fix depression but don't over use them because that can kill you. I'm not sure anti-depressants can kill you in this or not. I know sleeping tablets can if you take too many, and mixing sleeping pills with alcohol kills you too.
